wear + care

The handcrafted process leaves unique surface imperfections, complementing the power and true nature of each piece. All sizes are approximate and no two pieces are alike.

To properly care for your piece, avoid letting hairspray, perfumes, chlorine or household chemicals come in contact with the metal.

Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.

SILVER - BRASS - BRONZE

Part of the beauty of raw silver, brass and bronze is that they will naturally oxidize over time creating a soft patina adding to the uniqueness of the piece. However if you’d like to return it to the original finish, use either a polishing cloth (I like the Sunshine Polishing Cloth) or warm water and a mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. Clean regularly and keep away from moisture. Store in a cool, dry space like a pouch or jewelry box.

BLACK PATINAS

For all of my blackened pieces I use a clear sealant (matte finish) to protect the black patina as long as possible. These sealants are not meant to last forever and can be scratched or damaged with excessive wear or rough handling. If you’d like to have your piece revamped with a fresh patina I do charge a small $10 fee plus s+h as this is a labor intensive process and will take a few days to fully complete. These patinas have a life of their own and can vary in darkness therefore I cannot guarantee the finished color will be exact.
